Ju Jitsu Competion

Finally this weekend is winding down...I hope. I'm reading this book on possitive thinking and I sure put it to work this week, lol.

Well Kevin's still in camp yup , you heard me right he's in camp again, yippy! He left on Monday afternoon and was suppose to be back Thursday night. Which was cutting it pretty close because the competion starts friday night. Then he calls Wednesday night and says they are stay in and not sure when they'll be back but it won't be until after Saturday night. WTF!!! I mean, that's ok, it'll give me the opportunity to dust off my supper mom cape.

SoI call my mom and see if she can watch Seth, (she just had surgery, she's fine but just can't pick anything up) and like a trooper she saved the day. I can't say "thank you" enough, just thinking about bringing him gives me a headache. Picture this, try to keep a two year old who likes nothing better than getting rawdy with his brother's, now say no you can't go on that HUGE mat that your big brothers and where over 50 other big kids are wrestling around on. Hmm, let me tell you it doesn't go over very well. He just wouldn't understand that it was too dangerous for him but safe for the big guys, lol. To him it all boils down to "Mommy is just mean!". I only had to take Nam (as Taiya stayed with her Nana with Seth), yes I had to hold her the whole time but she was so good I didn't mind.

How did they do? Well I'm glad you asked.Friday night Beau got a Bronze in Khata (sp?) and a Silver in Imposed Movements. Then Saturday Blake got a Gold in Grapling but then went home a lunch because he didn't feel well. Funny thing though on Saturday Beau got a gold in Grapling to. They are in diffenent age and level groups, so it's nice they don't have to compete against each other. And then Beau got a Silver in Sparing. They did great and really had a good time.
We started this morning I got up just before 7 am, oops I slept in, oh, well. I run around crazy waking kids up changing bums and cooking breakfast. Yes I though, "I don't have enough to do this morning, I think I'm cook everyone breakfast", lol (we ran out of cereal). Nam took forever to eat, which is weird because she usually gobbles everything down.(later in the day I find out she's getting more teeth and that's why). Then throw together dinner and put it in the crock pot (aka "gift from the gods" :-) ) for later. Then make sure the big kids are ready yet (at times I wonder if the will be 20 and I'll still be saying "Are you dressed yet, did you brush your teeth yet? Look at that bed head, do something about it!") Pack 2 different diaper bags, one for Seth at Nana's house and one for Nam with me. Then look at the clock " Holy &%#*$%^, it's 8am we are going to be late!" run into the bedroom get dressed throw my hair up (thanking all that is good for ponytails) and fly out the door while tring to convince Seth the world will not come to an end if he can't find his yellow gum boots. Get to my Moms about 8:15am drop off Seth and Taiya, making sure to check one more time that she was feeling up to it. Then off to Tim Hortons for my "Caffine Fix". And made it to the competition at 8:29, just in time for warm-ups.

All is well until lunch not much time because I have to go home cause I forgot the camara. So we go through MacDonald's, yuck! But to the boys' I'm a hero, lol. Then we get home and eat lunch, which I promptly and acurately drop ketchup and mustard on me. But I have to make sure I do a good job cause if you're going to make a mess might as well do it right. I got it on my sweater, t-shirt and jeans. time for a new out fit anyways, I was thinking this sweater colour just wasn't doing it for me anyways and you know how much I love to do laundry. It's more like a hobby than a chore to me.

Blah, blah, blah, at the end of this long story we come home, eat dinner which everyone complains about, I write this blog and now I'm going to put the kids to bed and stare blissfully at the wall.

Some how this possitive thinking just seems to come across as sarcasum. Oh well, it works for me ;-)

MIA

Geesh, busy, busy, busy, but I have a slower moment and I thought I'd give an update.
Kevin came home on the 16th. and you'd swear that a super star entered the building, lol. Everyone was laughing and talking (loudly, I might add) all at the same time and all to Kevin. How can you not lagh watching the spectical, lol. and this went on for, at the very least, 20 minutes. They were saying things like"Dad come look at what I did to my room!", "Dad can you play Risk with me!", "We missed you dad!", "Pick me up Daddy!","Dad, did you bring home the playstation?". You know all the important stuff, lol. And it's been busy ever since.
Guess what we got yesterday???? A NEW COMPUTER!!!!! YIPPY!!! Opps sorry did I sound excited there? Having to limp my way around with my older than dirt other computer was challenging even on it's good days. Now the kids get to have it, MAWHAHA!!! Now where did that evil laugh come from, it certainly wasn't me>;)
When Beau found out that we were going to give them the old one he couldn't stop saying, "That's not fare, it doen't even work!" I couldn't help but laugh...he didn't see the humour in it,lol. "Don't worry about it sweety we're going to get the computer wiped and re-done and then it should be ok to use. He didn't look convised but drop the subject, so I guess that will do.
Then on to getting my DVD handy cam to work on it... I looked at the instructions and it looked pretty staight forward and started the job, then Nam needed me so Kevin took over. He was doing a pretty good job but then asked me a question and like a dope I told him to do something he wasn't suppose to and well, you get the idea. I lead him astray and messed things up. But in my defense he knows I don't know anthing about computers and I didn't have to instrutions in front of me so what the frig did I know???? Ya, that's right, it's all his fault. Even though he almost blow a fuse trying to fix it, lol. Ok maybe I'm a little sorry... but I didn't drive him crazy on purpose...>;)
WEll pictures will be be up soon...I hope, as soon as I figure it out.

Kung-Fu Kitty

Lets see now what's going on over here...? Kevin will be home from camp soon, on Tuesday actually... that is as long as weather permits it. Gees, this has been a long haul this shift. Not only was he gone the 28 days but they kept him an extra 7 on top of that... yup your math is correct, 35 days without dh. Don't be surprized if they find me as a drooling, babbling idiot by the time he gets here, lol. It's not the kids, believe it or not it's the nights that drive me nutts'o. Everyone is in bed by 8 and I have no one left to talk to but Nam and quite frankly she says she's tired of all my insesent babble, lol. And now she's even being a party pooper and falling asleep before 9. Oh well more time to do chores, cause that's what I like to do with my alone time (did you notice the scarcasm in that one, lol).
Blake and Beau traded rooms yesterday and actually it didn't take as long as I thought it would, but since this is there first night in their new spaces well see how long the are happy. Or more to the point how long Blake is happy, lol. Poor guy must have been a Nomad in another life, because he loves switching rooms. Lucky for him we have a big house, lol. (lucky for Taiya she has a pink room, so he won't bug her for it,lol).
Hey I have a question, My idiot kitten thinks it's tougher than Taiya (who is almost 7 by the way), has anyone else ever encountered such madness? An example might be all the kids are playing in the front room (yes, Nam to), if he wants to get in on the mayhem, 9 times out of 10 he will stock her. He sneeks up on her and latches on to her arm, foot, leg, head, whatever looks the most tasty I guess. Taiya screems, pushs him off and tries to hit him (note i said "tries"? she's not that tough, lol) and he looks at her (no joke) like "Oh ya, that's what I'm talkin' about! You want a peice of me?" and swats at her. Then I have to step it and break them up... that is once it get up off the floor cause the whole seen has the rest of us laughing so hard.He doesn't actually hurt her, I wouldn't tolerate a mean cat, but like I said she's not that tough and is very dramatic... maybe that's it he enjoys the show, lol.

Bike # 5

Bike # 5 has been official stolen from our yard. In the eight years that we have lived here this is the fifth bike that has been stolen and who's bike would it be... Yup, you got that right, Blake's! Of course, my most dramatic child. Unlike other people I rather enjoy throwing money out (that was sarcasm in case you missed that). I am annouyed... and that's all I'm going to say about it.
I would like to tell you this little story anout the crazy mom turned poodle sniper (aka me). Last night at midnight on the dot, my neighbor, who breeds poodle's, must have decided that "hmm you know what Spock (one of his dogs), it's too quiet outside. I think our friends would enjoy some of your delightful chatter, say for about ummmm, 15 minutes? And hey lets be helpful and give them a wake-up call at about 6am. No one really wants to sleep in one a Saturday morning anyways. Thanks buddy, they will thank us I'm sure"
Ohhh yaaaaa, I'd like to thank him alright, with my boot right in his @%$#^.
Sorry about that, I'm a little cranky today... Well that was the beautiful start to my weekend after that the rest of the day was pretty lad back.
Yesterday was Friday and Paid Day. Which means pizza/movie night. And all the moms out there know what that really means, "No cooking for mom!"Yahooooo!
We started the day with banking, kiddos where thrilled about this. Oh did I forget to mention The schools are closed on Fridays where I live? Yes they seem to think one less day of school a week will help grade scores (don't get me started on that one, lol). Anyways all things considered the kids where great (I'm thinking it was the pizza threats I was using, lol).
Last thing on the list was walmart. All I had to do was get Shrek 2 and get milk. But that's not all I left with. How did that happen? So much for saving money by going there. Then cause the kids were so good I got them some doughnuts.
And as I sit here with buyers remorse, I realize the time and see that Blake and Beau are still up watching movies. Looks like I'll have to skip my yoga for the evening...again. Oh well I guess I'll go have a doughnut, anyone want to join me?

The Cat...

Well it's about 3:30 pm and the big kidds are going to home soon. So since I have a quick quiet moment for a post. Did all my running around this morning, library and thrift store drop off, food shopping then off to Walmart to pick up some halloween pictures. And no I still haven't figured out how to get them on this web page but soon I hope. There are some funny ones of Blake as snowwhite, lol.

Then we came home and putt everything away (why does that seem to take so long to put things away?). Then we had this really great sandwich for an early lunch, surprizingly Seth loved it to. Then did my morning chores, sat down for a cup of tea for about 10 mins. and Julie and her son came over and we had a really nice visit.

After they left I went down stair to do my 3rd load of the day only to realize that I forgot to turn on the drier. Grrr, i hate when i do that. Play with Seth and Nam on the floor for a little bit and now here I am :-) Well have Ju Jutsu later tonight but that's no bigger. All in all a pretty relaxing day.

Now on to the question about my freak of a cat. OK I realize I might not have picked the smartest kitty in the litter. Why you ask? The other day I was upatairs (actually, trying to figure out this blogspot stuff) when Blake, Beau and Taiya, who are down stairs, start screaming! And I mean really screaming and as I'm racing down the stairs I hear Blake yelling "Hurry! Go get Mom!"

Now I'm expecting to see a limb missing or something along those lines... but when I get there... I see Blake running twards me with this Stupid, stupid Cat with it's head stuck in between the wire of a hanging plant basket!!!! My first thought was, "I must not be seeing this right, it just doesn't make sense, how did that happen????" My second thought was oh great! How much is this going to cost me?" That Kitten was fine by the way it just looked really weird.

Since I don't have any wire cutters, I tried to discreetly call my father in law for help me but of course he wasn't home. I had to call him down at the shop and ask for help. So I pack up the kids and dumb cat into the van and off we go. And all the way there, hoping no one else is there the watch the spectical. To make a long story short he was there and helped out but you know I'm going to hear about this for a long time to come. Oh well, nothing beats the putting desil in the gas tank of my car, ugg now that was embarrassing.

To make up for saving his furry butt, Hemmingway (the cat), has desided to be helpful andbring gift to Nam. Actually he brings her marbles. Yes that's right my kitten brings my 5 month old baby marbles to play with. Why does he do that? I don't know. Where is he getting them? Good question I don't know that either. I think he has a stash somewhere, lol.

Who need a babysitter when you have such a helpful cat like mine, lol.

Laundry Monster

Today I was attack in the safety of my own dressing room by my dammed evil closet organizer. Can you believe that it had the gaul to just fall on me completely unprevoked, the nerve! After I was done cursing at it I sat down and thought for a moment. "This isn't going to work is it? You're going to fight me until the bitter end aren't you?" Not used to getting beaten, I sure showed it, I ripped what was left of it off the wall (well actually there was only a couple of screws left and I took them down very carefully as to not damage the drywall anymore... but I did it with an anger look on my face)and marched it back upstairs (to wear it actually was before) and set it up right this time. Picture this me, a level, a pen and a measuring tape, but wait I was holding Nam and Seth was running into me with his tricycle (ya funny guy or at least he thought he was, lol).
After re-setting up the dressing room...again, lol, and it looks mighty good I might add, I realize that something just didn't look right. Oh right, the function of a closet organizer was to organize clothes.
Back down stairs I go, to the bowels of purgatory... the Laundry room! I haven't been keeping up with it much this week and now it's out of control. Small children have gone missing in those mountains, we sent in a search party after them and now they're gone to,lol. I've come to terms with the fact that it's the dreaded "Laundry Monster", waiting amongst the mountains to snatch-up and eat people who venture too close. Well time to put on my laundry shackles and get to work. If I don't come back to try to save me, just run, save yourself!!!!

Well that's what I did November 1, 2004. What did you do?
