But I'll miss you

Poor S. He is having a hard time right now. He loved going to school and now it's become this big drama fest, crying, attaching himself to the fence along way, rapping his arms around me with a Vulcan death grip, all the while sobbing, "But I'll miss you, mom!" Talk about heart breaking. He's doing better today though. Only a few tears. Thankfully his teacher is great with him and is good at being gentle yet firm. That seems to be working... But I tell ya, I have yet to have gone through this until now. Bl, B and T all loved school from the very start so I kind of felt side-swiped by this. On a brighter when I pick him up at the end of the day all seems to be well so we'll keep plugging away at it I guess. Wish the poor guy luck:-)

Frogs don't say ribbit!

Yesterday N and I were painting a master piece. We were in silent concentration when N looked at her picture and said "Frig it!"
Surprised by her use of (or what I thought was) my carefully disguised swear word. I said, "Pardon me?"
"I'm drawing a frog." she says
"Hmm, I thought frogs say ribbit." Notice how I slyly try to get her to say something else?... no dice.
She rolled her eyes at me and said, "No, frogs say frigit!"
"Are you sure about that?" another masterful attempt at diversion.
Again with the eye roll thing. then she proceeds to say slowly as if she were talking to the village idiot, "No, Mama. Frogs say FRIGIT!"
I stand corrected by my 3 year old and in case all these years you were wrong to, Frogs don't say ribbit.

Someone is growing up

Can you beleive Bl is almost 14? crikey Saying that makes me feel old, lol.
B after a crash on J's toy... Dad was racing him down the hall with it. Yup boys never grow up;-)
This picture speaks volumes about J. He's all about trucks and cars.
S you have the most infectious giggles around. Even when you've told us your joke for the 40th time we still can't help but laugh:-)

Sisters

T-9, N-3. You know you've got a good sister when she'll carry you on her back just because you asked her to. These two are so completely different. T is tall for her age and N is very small for her age. N is brave and active, T is cautious and relaxed and they are the best of friends. I can't wait to see them as grown ups. Nothing warms a mama's heart like watching her children really enjoy each others company:-)
